Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - MS/Tele (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry) is required. - Telemetry monitoring is required. - Interpretation of dysrhythmias is required. - Use of Rapid Response Teams is required. - Feeding tube care and management is required. - Blood product administration is required. - Central line blood draw is required. - Peripheral line care and management is required. - PICC line management is required. - Nasal cannula administration is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Heme/Onc experience is strongly preferred.

Required Credentials: - Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: - WMC monthly parking permit: $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days. WB annual parking permit: $196.20/year. CXS annual parking permit: $393.96/year. - The WMC permit is available monthly; WB and CXS permits require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits. - WB parking is approximately 1.7 miles from the medical center; the Pink Shuttle runs every 3–5 minutes during peak times and reaches the medical center in approximately 8–9 minutes.

Unit Details: - This is a bone marrow transplant (BMT) unit on 14 and 15W James serving a mixed-acuity PCU and medical-surgical population. - Adult and geriatric patient population. - Patient diagnoses include acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), acute myeloid leukemia (adult), amyloidosis, aplastic anemia, chronic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), chronic myeloid (myelogenous) leukemia, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloproliferative disorders, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. - Autologous transplant patients receive their own stem cells; syngeneic transplant patients receive stem cells from an identical twin; allogeneic transplant patients receive stem cells from a sibling, parent, or unrelated donor. - The unit provides CAR-T therapy. - There is a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls.

Shift & Scheduling: - If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. - Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

Floating Requirements: - Floating to other MedSurg Oncology units is required.
