Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: PCU experience is not required; MS/Tele experience is accepted. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 years of oncology experience is preferred, but not required. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. WB and CXS annual parking permits require payment upfront; the WMC parking permit is available monthly. WMC monthly parking permit: 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage for $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days. WB annual parking permit: $196.20/year; West Campus WB/WC lots have shuttle service, and Carmack Lots 2 and 3 are approximately 1.7 miles from the medical center. The Pink Shuttle runs every 3–5 minutes during peak times and reaches the medical center in approximately 8–9 minutes. CXS annual parking permit: $393.96/year; access includes the 9th Avenue East and West Garages on weekends and holidays and Buckeye CX and West Campus lots 24/7.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Mixed-acuity PCU/MS Tele unit caring for a high-acuity medical oncology population with diagnoses ranging from solid tumors to some blood cancers. Pediatric patients are extremely rare and would likely be cared for by permanent staff; pediatric experience is not required for agency RNs. Chemotherapy competence is not required for the unit; interested clinicians may be sent to a 2-day chemotherapy course. The unit has a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention. Patient ratios are 1:3 in PCU and 1:4-5 in MS Tele; ratios may vary based on unit needs. Equipment includes GE B450 telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, continuous bladder irrigation, and PCA pumps.

Shift & Scheduling: 12D/N rotating contracts may include day shifts (07:00-19:30), night shifts (19:00-07:30), or a combination of both, depending on department needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period; changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities. Weekend shifts are variable.

Floating Requirements: Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower levels of acuity. The assignment includes floating to other MS Tele units.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
