Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with any experience within the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Must have at least 1 year of inpatient hematology oncology experience in work history and checklist. MS oncology experience required. Experience with leukemia/blood dyscrasias required. MS/Tele, telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, use of rapid response teams, feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs required.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Acute leukemia population; primarily newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients. Medical unit with a high number of blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolytes. Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention. Uses B450 monitors, GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds.

Shift & Scheduling: Shift options include 07:00-19:30 days and 19:00-07:30 nights. Weekends: Variable based on unit needs. For 12D/N rotating contracts, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on department needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities.

Floating Requirements: Float to other MedSurg Oncology units.
