Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 years of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years).

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Massachusetts license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <90 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Required Skills/Experience:
Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
3+ years of oncology experience preferred.

Unit Details:
The oncology unit cares for newly diagnosed patients with cancer or hematologic diseases, patients receiving chemotherapy, patients with failure to thrive (FTT), treatment complications including toxicities, end-of-life patients, and medical-surgical overflow patients, most of whom have a cancer history.
Chemotherapy-competent nurses administer chemotherapy to patients on and off the unit.
This is a non-telemetry assignment involving central lines and cytotoxic precautions.
Patient ratios are 1:5/6 on days and 1:6/7 on nights.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/24/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 10/31/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
