Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• 3 months of travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Mississippi license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - University of Mississippi Healthcare.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: - Level 1 trauma experience required. - Experience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high-acuity patients. - Must be comfortable with lines and chest tubes.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Hem/onc and chemo experience preferred.
Unit Details: - Hematology/oncology patient population, including chemo patients. - Typical ratio is 1:5 to 1:6 and is adjusted down for higher-acuity patients. - RNs may titrate heparin; amiodarone may be started before transfer to the cardiac unit. - Every unit has telemetry capability; patients are monitored on all units, and a central monitor station communicates with the RN. - CPAP/BiPAP at night with RT support.
Special Requests: - Managers will try to accommodate block scheduling as schedule allows.
Shift & Scheduling: - Open to weekenders if willing to work every weekend, but that is not required. - Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month is standard and could be higher based on department needs. - Holidays rotate with regular staff. - No call.
Floating Requirements: - Within skillset, all staff float between all MedSurg units; higher-acuity patients would be given to core staff.
7 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
