Shift: 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wyoming license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >25 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Cheyenne Regional Health System.

Special Requests: - Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from the facility. - Block scheduling allowed. Manager prefers Sun/Mon/Tues night scheduling and is willing to be flexible; if scheduled Sun/Mon/Tues, the weekend requirement may be waived.

Unit Details: - Primarily a medical patient population rather than an oncology-focused assignment. Common patients include COPD, psych, detox, neutropenic fevers, blood transfusions, failure to thrive, and falls. - Patient ratios: days 1:4-5 (target 1:4); nights 1:5-6 (target 1:5). - Titrates heparin and fentanyl drips. - Uses Epic. - Remote telemetry techs monitor tele boxes. - Travelers are not required to administer chemotherapy. - CPAP, BiPAP maintenance, and high-flow O2 are seen on the unit; RT provides primary management. - Charge nurse is present on both shifts and usually does not take an assignment; rapid response nurse available 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: - Self-scheduling in Kronos. - Every other weekend; weekends are Friday and Saturday nights (4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks). - Holiday scheduling may be needed based on unit needs. - On-call is used at times for low census; if on call, clinicians can be called in at any point. Call schedule follows assigned dates unless requested otherwise.

Floating Requirements: - Float to inpatient units including Tele, surgical/ortho/neuro, and medical units. Expected to care for medical patients only, not specialty patients. Floating frequency varies and follows rotation with permanent staff.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
