Medical Surgical Oncology - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wyoming license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >25 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: RNs required to titrate drips: Heparin. Fentanyl. Travelers are not required to do Chemo.

Types of Patients on Unit: Pretty typical medical patients. She is not looking for an oncology nurse. Looking for medical nurses. COPD, psych, detox, oncologic emergencies (neutropenic fevers), blood transfusions, failure to thrive, falls, everything you would see on a medical unit.

Unit Details: 24 Beds - All private

Special Requests: Do allow block scheduling.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - 4 weekend shifts a month. Night shift is Friday and Saturday. If the traveler blocks for Sun Mon Tues - the weekend requirement would not be required.
• Holiday Requirement: Does not have specific needs for Holidays - but could be possible if there is a need. Wants flexible travelers.
• Call or a Standby requirement: On call has been done sometimes. They have an on call system and if they are on call they can be called in at any point.

Floating Requirements: Float to the inpatient units - Tele, surgical ortho neuro, medical unit, etc. Would be required to take care of the medical patients and not the specialty patients. Floating frequency varies. Floating rotation with the perm staff.

1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
