Shift: 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wyoming license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >25 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Cheyenne Regional Health System.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Special Requests: - Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from the facility.

Unit Details: - Primarily a medical patient population rather than oncology-focused nursing: COPD, psych, detox, oncologic emergencies including neutropenic fevers, blood transfusions, failure to thrive, and falls. - Titrate heparin and fentanyl drips; travelers are not required to administer chemotherapy. - Remote tele techs monitor telemetry boxes on the floor. - Uses CPAP, BiPAP maintenance, and high-flow O2; RT manages these therapies and is in house 24/7. - Charge nurse coverage on both shifts; charge typically does not take patients, though night charge may occasionally take a chemo patient. Rapid response nurse available 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: - Block scheduling and self-scheduling are available. - Manager prefers Sun/Mon/Tues night scheduling when possible and tries to keep night shifts consecutive with minimal schedule changes. - Every other weekend; 4 weekend shifts every 4-week period. Weekend nights are Friday and Saturday. If working a Sun/Mon/Tues block, weekend requirement may be waived. - Holiday scheduling depends on unit needs; agency staff are usually not needed on holidays but may be scheduled if needed. - On-call may be assigned for low census; if on call, clinicians can be called in at any point. Call schedule follows set dates unless otherwise requested.

Floating Requirements: - Float to inpatient units including Tele, Surgical/Ortho/Neuro, and Medical. Travelers will care for medical patients rather than specialty patients. Floating frequency varies and follows the permanent staff rotation.

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years
