Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Unit Details: The unit cares for patients undergoing operative and non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions, including total joint replacements (hip, knee, and shoulder), fracture repairs, spine surgeries, and other orthopedic procedures. The unit is fast-paced and throughput-driven, with a strong emphasis on same-day or next-day postoperative mobility and discharge readiness. Nursing work includes postoperative care, pain management (including PCA and multimodal regimens), neurovascular assessments, and early mobilization protocols. Nurses collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical and occupational therapy, and care management to support functional outcomes and efficient patient progression. Other surgical patient populations, such as urology, may be introduced to the unit as CMS guidelines evolve.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and rotating holidays.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
