Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• BSN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 years of Tele experience. Previous Charge Experience: Required Teaching hospital experience is required. Community hospital experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Critical care experience preferred.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric medical-surgical orthopedic patient population. Orthopedic cases include hips, knees, shoulders, ankles, spine, and arthroplasty, as well as gynecology and GI cases. Palliative and comfort care are provided. Uses the Philips Tele monitoring system.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. 2 weekend shifts per contract.

Floating Requirements: Must be able to float to other UCSF facilities. Float to Telemetry and Rehab.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
