Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to take own patient assignment, with the support of an RN. - Required skills include blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs. - Required skills include high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, and tracheostomy care/management. - Required skills include feeding tube care/management, heparin protocols, temporary/permanent pacemakers, and on-unit telemetry monitoring. - Required skills include use of rapid response/code teams, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, and surgical drains.

Special Requests: - RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be submitted upon submission.

Unit Details: - Complex care unit for medicine, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term patients.

Shift & Scheduling: - Shift hours alternate between 7p-7a and 7a-7p. - Every other weekend. - Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed.

Floating Requirements: - Will be required to float within skillset.

Maximum consecutive days off: 10

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
