Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required from any number of months.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• 12 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System

Additional Details:

Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing.

Previous Employment Requirements: Return staff policy – 1 year

Required Skills/Experience: They Must have worked in the acute care setting within the past 6 months. No first time US assignment. Previous Charge Experience. Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy Blood Product Administration Central line care/management Peripheral Line Care/Management Phlebotomy PICC line management Starting and maintaining IVs Gastrointestinal Feeding tube care and management Medications Heparin Protocols Respiratory High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Nasal Cannula Oxygen administration Oxygen tanks Tracheostomy care/management Professional Topics and Skills Isolation Precautions Wound Care/Wound Vac Work Settings MS/Tele Orthopedics Ortho trauma Total Joint Replacements Cardiovascular Pacemakers/Temporary/Permanent Plastics Surgical drains Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Telemetry -on the unit monitoring Use of Rapid Response/Code teams.

Required Credentials: Cert: BLS - Provider/Instructor/RQI are acceptable.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Complex care unit for Medicine, ortho overflow and complex long term patients.

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics.

Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds: 39.

Special Requests: Cannot have RTO for labor day.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.

7 days maximum time off
