Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• 12 months of acute care experience within the last 2 years.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <90 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - MaineHealth.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - IV skills required.
Required Credentials: - PALS is required to care for pediatric patients on the general floor, but it is not mandatory for travelers on MSU.
Special Requests: - Travel pairs are not accepted.
Unit Details: - Medical-surgical orthopedic, general surgery, and urology patients; top medical diagnoses include CHF, COPD, and PNA. - Patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights. - Equipment includes Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Phillips cardiac monitor.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
