Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience worked in the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: 2 yrs inpatient nursing experience required. PCU experience is not required; travelers will only care for MS/Tele patients and may be considered with MS/Tele experience only. Acute care experience must be current/today, with consistent work in the last 12 months, and in the specialty being applied to.
Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 years of oncology experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests: Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any Ohio State University facility.
Unit Details: Mixed acuity PCU/MS Tele unit caring for medical oncology patients. Adult and geriatric patient population. Variety of diagnoses from solid tumors to some blood cancers. High acuity patient population. Ratios: PCU 1:3, MS Tele 1:4-5. Rare pediatric patients are typically cared for by permanent staff; pediatric experience is not required. Uses GE telemetry monitor system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, continuous bladder irrigation, and PCA pumps.
Shift & Scheduling: Day 07:00-19:30 or night 19:00-07:30. If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both depending on department needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. Weekend shifts are variable.
Floating Requirements: Required to float to other MS Tele units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
