Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1690 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Paragon is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: 18+ months of recent Med/Tele experience.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. No previous employment allowed at this facility.

Unit Details: Common diagnoses include CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD. RNs are required to titrate heparin only. Telemetry monitor technicians monitor patients, while RNs must read telemetry strips. The unit cares for patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen. Charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators are available. Charting transitions from Paragon to Epic on October 30, 2026.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 hours per week or 36/48 hours biweekly. Shift scheduling is determined by the manager, and travelers are scheduled based on facility needs. Every other weekend is required. Holidays are required. No call.

Floating Requirements: Will float to all medical-surgical units and possibly to PCU to care for telemetry holds before transfer.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
