Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1800 per week.

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:
Unit Details: Transitional care unit with mostly medical patients; any service line may admit, including some general surgery patients. Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, kidney, liver, GI, and respiratory issues, CIWA patients, infections, and wounds. Required skills on the unit include trachs, chest tubes, IV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, cardiac rhythm interpretation, central line blood draws, and non-titrating drips including Heparin, Lasix, and Protonix. Phlebotomy is available 24/7; RNs may also collect labs. Bedside telemetry monitors with a central monitor at the nurses’ station. Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with non-titrating Cardizem and Amiodarone preferred; can teach on unit if no prior experience.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call.
Floating Requirements: Could float within scope of practice at hospital.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
