Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.
• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Trachs, chest tubes, IV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, cardiac rhythm interpretation (will check off on strips during shift), central line blood draws. - Non-titrating drips required: Heparin, Lasix, Protonix.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Non-titrating drips preferred: Cardizem, Amiodarone.
Unit Details: - Transitional care/general Med-Surg unit caring for CHF, COPD, kidney/liver/GI/respiratory issues, CIWA patients, infections, and wounds. - Mostly medical patients, but any service line can admit, including some general surgery and other patients. - Unit support includes one CNA for each side of the unit and one charge nurse covering both areas who may take patients if needed. - RNs may collect labs; phlebotomy, RT, hospitalists, and residents are available 24/7. - Telemetry monitoring uses bedside monitors with a central monitor at the nurses’ station. - Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Holiday requirement: 50%. - No call.
Floating Requirements: - Could float within scope of practice at hospital.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
