Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, Foley insertion/management), and PCA pumps required. Medication gtt management to include cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF.
Preferred Skills/Experience: First-time travelers are not preferred but will be considered.
Unit Details: Emergency observation setting with common diagnoses including chest pain, syncope, and angina. Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell.
Shift & Scheduling: Shift times: 0650-1910; 1850-0710. Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.
Special Requests: Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
Floating Requirements: Travelers will be first to float to other nursing units based on patient care needs and staffing demands and must take patients within scope of practice on any unit (e.g. MedSurg assignment in ICU, MedSurg holds in ED). Required to float within Region 1 as needed: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only)). If floating mid-shift, traveler will remain on the clock while traveling between facilities.

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
