Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience with cardiac drips is highly preferred.

Special Requests: - At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. - Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes A-fib RVR, respiratory distress, weakness, urosepsis, and extended recoveries from total hip, knee, and hernia repairs; no pediatric patients. - RNs set drip rates only; they do not titrate drips. - Common titratable or set-rate drips include Cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin. - Telemetry is remotely monitored at another facility. A monitor technician reads the telemetry, and RNs verify it 3 times per shift. - Travelers may be used in a charge nurse role depending on experience and staffing. - Unit equipment includes oxygen and CPAP; BiPAP will typically be shipped out.

Shift & Scheduling: - The manager will try to work with the traveler’s schedule. - Weekend requirement is every other weekend, though weekend scheduling may vary and some schedules are weekends only. - Holiday work is expected if the need is there. - No call or standby requirement.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
