Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1850 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 1-year current hospital Med/Surg experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience working with SCI (spinal cord injury) is preferred.

Unit Details: Patient ratios are 4:1 on days and 5:1 on nights. Unit procedures include wound care, occasional bowel programs, and light burn care. The unit specializes in caring for surgical flap patients, including spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention. The unit partners with the burn unit and cares for low-acuity burn patients. Telemetry monitoring is used. Some semi-private rooms are used when hospital census is high, although this is not the unit’s preferred setup.
