Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - First-time travelers not accepted.
Special Requests: - RTO requires Resource Team approval.
Unit Details: - General med/surg floor-level post-operative patients, including CBI, bariatric, hip, trauma surgical, and Buck’s traction cases. - Uses Encompass EMR, Baxter IV pumps (moving to Alaris in 2026), Omnicell, Philips MX-40s, CBG machines, wound vacs as needed, specialty beds as needed, and routine lifting/vital signs equipment. - Charge nurse, phlebotomy, RT, hospitalist, intensivist, and telemetry tech support available; no IV/VAT team or resource nurse.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle every 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: - Floats to sister units 7N and 7S, all med-surg with the same ratio and expectations.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
