Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1930 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.
• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Stroke experience required. - Cardiac rhythm interpretation required.
Unit Details: - Cares for patients with chest pain, syncope, and angina. - CNA ratio: 1:10. - Requires trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, and drain/tube management including Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, Flexi-Seal, and Foley insertion/management. - Uses PCA pumps and manages medication gtts including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF. - Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - No call. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.
Special Requests: - Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
Floating Requirements: - Travel nurses are first to float to other nursing units based on patient care needs and staffing demands. - May take patients within scope of practice on any unit, including Med-Surg assignments in ICU and Med-Surg holds in ED. - Required to float as needed within Region 1: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH pediatric only).
6 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
