Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Stroke experience and NIH assessments, chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management), and PCA pumps. - Medication gtt management to include cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - First-time travelers not preferred; will consider for resource team.
Special Requests: - Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
Unit Details: - Common diagnoses include stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleed. - RN ratios: 1:5-6, acuity dependent - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8). LPN: 1:5-6, acuity dependent - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8). CNA: 1:9. - Unit support includes CNAs, who can insert foleys and remove IVs for discharge if certified; day shift receptionist/HUC only; charge nurse may or may not have a patient assignment; 24/7 phlebotomy, RT, and hospitalist support; no designated IV/VAT team; and telemetry monitoring/tech. - Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Philips monitors.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6weeks.
Floating Requirements: - Within region and scope of practice. - Will be required to float per region needs to Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH (peds only)) as needed, within scope of practice.

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
