Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

An interview may not be available prior to offer. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have cardiac drip and post-cath lab experience.

Special Requests: Block scheduling is available. Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details: Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. RNs titrate drips. Common titratable or set-rate drips include analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control. Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, HFNC, and NRB. Tele techs monitor telemetry 24/7, and RNs co-sign strips.

Shift & Scheduling: Full- and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule 6-9 weekend shifts per six-week schedule, aligning with department needs, unit staffing plans, and equitable distribution among all staff. Holiday coverage is required. Call or standby requirements are determined by the nurse manager. Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if the first-day modules are remote.

Floating Requirements: May be asked to float into any other acuity level, including ICU (taking low-acuity holds within skillset), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele; in an extreme need, may float within Zone 3 to OCH, LUH, SAH, or SAN.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
