Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2010 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience:
Required skills include MS/Tele, telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry/on-unit monitoring, use of rapid response/code teams, IV insulin protocols, and feeding tube care and management.
Teaching hospital experience is required.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.

Required Credentials:
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests:
RTO requests are reviewed case by case; extensive RTO will not be approved.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
OSU requires all fingerprints to be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract for an OSU assignment. This is a client requirement, and timely completion is essential to maintaining the assignment and avoiding delays, pushes or cancellations.
Parking permits are purchased through CampusParc; the WMC permit costs $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days for the Wexner Medical Center Garage.
The WB permit costs $196.20/year for the 9th Avenue East/West Garages and West Campus WB/WC lots, with shuttle service for the West Campus lots.
The CXS permit costs $393.96/year for the 9th Avenue East/West Garages, Buckeye CX, and West Campus lots.
WB and CXS permits require annual payment upfront and are not available monthly; the WMC permit is available monthly.
Prorated refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits; current and prior months are not refundable.
Cancel by 6:30 p.m. on the last business day of the month to avoid the next charge; refund checks may take 3–5 weeks.

Unit Details:
The unit cares for all diagnoses, with primary services including medical and surgical care (acute care surgery of any type), orthopedic/trauma overflow, and PCU patients.
During ill calls, travelers will be flexed first to a five-patient assignment.

Shift & Scheduling:
Day shifts run 7:00-19:30; night shifts run 19:00-7:30.
Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period. For night-shift staff, Sunday is not a weekend shift; night-shift weekend shifts are Friday and Saturday nights only.

Floating Requirements:
Travelers are expected to be the first to float out when scheduled.
