Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: PCU experience is not required.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Parking permits cost $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days for WMC, $196.20/year for WB, and $393.96/year for CXS. The WB and CXS permits require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits; the WMC permit is available monthly. The WMC permit provides 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage. The WB permit provides access to the 9th Avenue East/West Garages on weekends and holidays and to West Campus WB/WC lots 24/7 with shuttle service. The CXS permit provides access to the 9th Avenue East/West Garages on weekends and holidays and to Buckeye CX and West Campus lots 24/7.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. The unit is a mixed med-surg/PCU unit with transitional care beds. Med-surg procedures include Foley catheters, PICC lines, IVs, IV antibiotics, chest tubes, bedside paracentesis, PD, and LP. Patient population includes general medicine issues, opioid abuse, organ failure, changes in level of consciousness, behavioral issues, and MRDD/developmental delay issues.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekdays and some weekends.

Floating Requirements: Float required within the OSU organization to different units as needed.
