Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2040 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience

• Acute care experience must be current/today, with consistent work in the last 12 months, and must be in the specialty with which you are applying.
• Telemetry interpretation required.
• Telemetry monitoring required.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Oncology experience preferred but not required.

Required Credentials

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests

• The WMC monthly parking permit costs $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days.
• WB and CXS parking permits require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits.
• The WB permit costs $196.20/year; West Campus Carmack Lots 2 and 3 are approximately 1.7 miles from the medical center, and the Pink Shuttle runs every 3–5 minutes during peak times and reaches the medical center in approximately 8–9 minutes.
• The CXS permit costs $393.96/year.

Unit Details

• Adult and geriatric patient population.
• The unit cares for all solid tumor cancers throughout the spectrum of their cancer journey, from new diagnosis through treatment, and assists with transition to end-of-life care.
• The most common diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, as well as encounters for antineoplastic chemotherapy.
• The unit has a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls.
• Patients also have true medical-surgical issues.

Shift & Scheduling

• Shift options include days/nights or nights.
• Weekends are variable based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements

• Floating is required to other MedSurg Oncology units.

OSU requires all fingerprints to be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract for an OSU assignment. This is a client requirement, and timely completion is essential to maintaining the assignment and avoiding delays, pushes or cancellations.

Details:

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
