Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Required skills include tracheostomy care, chest tube management, peripheral IV insertion and maintenance, Glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips, drips titrated to heart rate rather than blood pressure, cardiac monitoring and interpretation, and discharge planning and patient education.

Special Requests: - RTO requests require manager approval. - Paid parking decks are available.

Unit Details: - Patient types include chest pain, syncope/vomiting, abdominal pain, cellulitis, COPD exacerbation, heart failure observation, dehydration, hypertension, diabetes, POD#1 patients requiring an overnight hospital stay, simple trauma, MVCs, and falls. - The unit beds patients from the ER who are awaiting an inpatient admission bed. - The unit has high patient turnover. - The unit uses central cardiac telemetry monitoring. - Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Philips monitors, VS3 vital-sign monitors, Nova glucose stat strips, portable Dynamap vital-sign monitors, bladder scanners, portable oxygen systems, Glucommander, PCA pain-management equipment, and suction machines.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend rotation: 6 shifts on a 6-week schedule (6 out of 12 shifts). - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Floating is to all medical-surgical/telemetry units.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
