Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2050 per week.

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of strong Cardiac/Telemetry experience required. 1 prior travel assignment required. Recent Epic experience required.

Unit Details: High-acuity telemetry/med-surg, cardiac-heavy population including Afib with RVR, Afib, flutter, heart blocks, CHF, COPD, sepsis, behavioral health/CIWA, post ablations, dialysis, and post-heart cath without interventions. Clinical skills used on the unit include telemetry/12-lead EKG interpretation, titration of drips (antiarrhythmics, heparin, amio, etc.), PIV insertion, chest tube and indwelling drain management, CBI, stable drips, antidysrhythmic management, and nephrostomy tube care. Ratios: days 1:4-5; nights 1:5-7. Charge nurse rarely takes patients on days but does take an assignment on nights. Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires.

Shift & Scheduling: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. Every other holiday. Flexible contract hours: 36 per week; 48 may be accepted upon request.

Floating Requirements: First to float within skill set to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) and potentially Deaconess Henderson (KY). Two-hour notice is given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float may occur within the same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
