Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2050 per week.

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Two years of strong cardiac/tele experience. Recent Epic charting experience required.

Required Credentials: Associate degree or certificate.

Unit Details: Cardiac Renal Unit with post-cardiac procedure patients including heart cath, ablation, and pacemaker; also cares for A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes/CBI/renal biopsy, and behavioral health/detox patients. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, heart cath recovery (femoral/TR bands), PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, drip management (cardiac-cardizem, amio, etc.; other-heparin, lasix, protonix, etc.), CBI, detox/CIWA protocol, and central line care. Ratios: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:6-7; charge nurse takes a patient assignment. Teaching hospital; may require precepting of students and new-hires.

Shift & Scheduling: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus and potentially Deaconess Henderson (KY). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
