Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Florida license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

Required Skills/Experience: - Prior travel required, at least 1 travel assignment. - A minimum of 2 years of acute MS Tele experience is required.
Special Requests: - No travel pairs for Tele units. - No holiday RTO. - Will consider auto-offer if 4 days or less of RTO requests.
Unit Details: - Internal Medicine unit currently designated COVID Med-Surg/Tele. - Will care for COVID-19 population as needed. - Adult patients, 18+. - Patient population includes all medical-surgical diagnoses, COVID-19, and medical overflow; seldom general surgery patients; no NSTEMI or cardiac arrhythmias. - Uses Pyxis, Hospira Plum 360 IV pumps, wound vacs, trachs, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, CBI, 12 lead EKGs, and BIPAP/CPAP on nights. - Drips include IV fluids, ABXs, blood products, and heparin; no cardiac drips. - Phlebotomy is primarily an RN responsibility; PCAs may assist when available. - CNA/PCT, unit clerk, and charge RN support available. - Central monitor station in 2A/IMCU for this unit. - Unit includes negative airflow rooms.
Shift & Scheduling: - Maximum 7 consecutive days of RTO. - Weekend requirement: 4 shifts monthly. - Holidays as needed, per facility policy.
Floating Requirements: - Travelers float first to Diabetes, Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, and all other med-surg units, in rotation with staff or as needed.
14 days maximum time off. Maximum consecutive days off: 7
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
