Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Two years of strong cardiac/tele experience required. - One travel assignment required. - Recent Epic experience required.

Required Credentials: - Associate degree or certificate required.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes post-cardiac procedure patients (heart cath, ablation, pacemaker), A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes/CBI/renal biopsy, and behavioral health/detox. - Unit skillset includes tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, recovery of heart caths (femoral/TR bands), PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, cardiac drips (Cardizem, amio) and other drips (heparin, Lasix, Protonix), CBI, detox/CIWA protocols, and central line care. - Patient ratios vary by shift: days 1:4-5; nights 1:6-7; the charge nurse takes a patient assignment. - May require precepting of students and new hires.

Shift & Scheduling: - Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. - Every other holiday. - Flexible contract hours: 48 per week may be accepted upon request.

Floating Requirements: - The first float is within the clinician’s skill set. - The clinician may float to Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). - 2 HR notice is given for cross-campus float. - Mid-shift float is within the same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
