Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2070 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips. Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients. Must be willing to precept nursing students.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Telemetry experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details: Surgical patients include total hip and knee replacement, small bowel resection, hysterectomy, and exploratory laparoscopy. Medical patients include MRSA, C-diff infections, suicide attempt, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, and COVID. Telemetry patients include chest pain. Nursing assistants typically cover 10-15 patients; if no NA is available, the RN takes 3 patients and provides primary care. Care for stable CPAP or BiPAP patients. Remote monitor techs are available.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend, Friday and Saturday for nights. Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly. If low census, staff rotates standby turns; travelers may or may not be included depending on contract.

Floating Requirements: First to float. Float into the Multi Care Unit and Pediatric unit to care for adult MST patients, and float to West Campus MedSurg/Tele.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
