Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Special Requests

  • An interview may not be available prior to offer.
  • Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
  • Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility.
  • At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to.
  • Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
  • Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
  • Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Required skills/experience include reading basic telemetry strips, some experience with CVA and TIA, and total joint replacement experience.

Unit Details

  • Common diagnoses and patient types include CHF, COVID-19, respiratory and gastrointestinal conditions, diabetes, post-cath patients, and total joint replacement cases.
  • RNs are not required to titrate drips.
  • Diltiazem/Cardizem drips are used at a set rate.
  • RNs are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign at least once per shift.
  • The unit uses BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments.

Shift & Scheduling

  • Schedules are made out for 4 weeks. Self-scheduling is used but is not final until the manager balances it.
  • 2 weekends per 4-week schedule are required.
  • The preferred holiday schedule for Christmas, New Year’s, and Thanksgiving is 2 days and an eve or 2 eves and a day (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and Thanksgiving Day).
  • No call.

Floating Requirements

  • Clinicians are first to float.
  • Clinicians may float to East Campus and possibly to PCU if qualified.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
