Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers are accepted, dependent on experience; a strong background in MST is required. Experience reading telemetry strips is required. Required skills include chest tubes, tracheostomies, PIV starts, drains and tubes, and PCA pumps. Gtt management is required for amiodarone (occasionally), fentanyl PCA, ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, and heparin. Lab draws are required.
Unit Details: The patient population includes general medicine patients with diabetes, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and renal conditions. The CNA patient ratio is 8:1. The unit has centralized telemetry monitoring. Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing. A rapid response team and phlebotomy support are available. Respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage is available 24/7. No IV/VAT team is available.
Shift & Scheduling: The weekend rotation is every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call.
Floating Requirements: Floats to other MedSurg units.

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
