Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read and interpret telemetry and read own telemetry strips.
Required Credentials: Dysrhythmia exam required prior to signing contract; minimum passing score is 80% within two attempts. Failure to meet this requirement results in 6-month ineligibility for CommonSpirit AZ and Sacramento.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year.
Unit Details: Surgical patients include total hip and knee replacement, small bowel resection, hysterectomy, and exploratory lap. Medical and telemetry patients include MRSA, C-diff infections, suicide attempt, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, COVID, and chest pain. Must be willing to care for both MST and PCU patients. Cares for stable CPAP or BiPAP patients. Remote monitor techs are available. Must be willing to precept nursing students.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; dayshift weekend requirement is Saturday and Sunday. Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly. Must work 12/24-12/26. If low census, staff rotates standby turns; travelers may or may not be included in low-census standby rotation depending on contract.
Floating Requirements: First to float. Float into the Multi Care Unit and Pediatric unit to care for adult MST patients, and to West Campus MedSurg Tele.
Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
