Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Required skills include PCA, surgical drains, wound care, and telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation. - Cardizem/Amiodarone gtt experience is accepted but not required; clinicians without it must be comfortable learning.
Unit Details: - Patient population includes general medical patients, with some cardiac, pneumonia, UTI, chest pain, and fluid overload cases. - The CNA-to-patient ratio is 1:8. CNAs obtain vital signs and blood glucose checks and assist with hourly safety rounds and activities of daily living. - Peripheral phlebotomy is available, but RNs start their own IVs because there is no IV/VAT team. - Respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist support are available 24/7; respiratory therapy assistance requires paging. - Telemetry monitoring is provided on the unit rather than in patient rooms, and RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting strips during the shift. - Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing. Unit-specific equipment includes PCAs, and the unit handles tracheostomies and complex wound care.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - No call.
Floating Requirements: - Floats to Rehab, 4 Ardmore, 10 Reynolds, 9 Reynolds, 5 Ardmore, Burn-10 North, and the Throughput Unit.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
