Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.
• ADN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of strong Cardiac/Telemetry experience. Recent Epic experience required. Telemetry/12-lead EKG interpretation required. Must be able to initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, heparin, amio, etc.), perform PIV insertion, manage chest tubes/indwelling drains, CBI, stable drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), antidysrhythmic medications (cardizem, tikosyn dosing, amio), and nephrostomy tubes.
Required Credentials: Travelers are required to pass telemetry tests.
Special Requests: Assignment length may vary: 13 or 20 weeks.
Unit Details: High-acuity Tele/M/S, cardiac-heavy patient population including Afib with RVR, Afib, flutter, blocks, heart cath without interventions, CHF, COPD, sepsis, BH/CIWA, post ablations, and dialysis. Ratios: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:5-7. Charge nurse rarely takes patients on days, but takes an assignment on NOC shift. Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires.
Shift & Scheduling: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday. Flexible contract hours: 36 per week; 48 per week upon request.
Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
