Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2090 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 12 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Dysrhythmia interpretation required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: CAPD preferred.

Required Credentials: EKG exam required at orientation.

Special Requests: Weekend-only block scheduling may be accommodated. Assignment length may vary: 13 - 18 weeks.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patients. General surgery, trauma, and minor orthopedic post-op and post-trauma patients. Day shift can expect 1–2 patient turnovers per nurse per day. Uses Alaris pumps, Hercules beds, BiPAP, CPAP, trachs, chest tubes, and Kangaroo tube feeds. Support staff includes monitor techs, phlebotomy, 1–2 CNAs per shift, sitters, charge nurses, and a rapid response team.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and major holidays required. Flexible contract hours: 48 per week may be accommodated.

Floating Requirements: Required to float to other Med/Surg units as needed.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
