Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2150 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required with any experience within the last 18 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: No first-time travelers are accepted; must have completed at least 1 travel contract within the previous 18 months. Proficiency caring for all patient types/variety of med-surg patients is required. Experience with heparin is required. Charge experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 24 months of current Med Surg/Medical Surgical/Med Surg Tele experience is highly preferred. Telemetry/cardiac background is highly preferred. Precept experience is nice to have.

Special Requests: Any past employee of UnityPoint Health (UPH), whether FTE or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another market if they currently work at, or have worked at, a UPH facility within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply.

Unit Details: Telemetry is monitored remotely by a tele tech.

Shift & Scheduling: Night shifts are scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Flexible contract hours: 48 per week can be accommodated if preferred. Unless the unit is closed, the contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s). No call.

Floating Requirements: The traveler will be required to float to all campuses within the pertinent skill set/unit they are contracted for, including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
