Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2150 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - First-time travelers are accepted as long as they have the required experience. - While additional support is provided, candidates must be comfortable with and have prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred. - Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details: - Adult patient population. - Unit procedures include bedside thoracentesis, bedside paracentesis, bedside biopsies, and continuous bladder irrigation. - Patient population includes sickle cell crisis, sepsis, complicated wound care, alcohol/drug withdrawal, complicated community placement, delirium/confusion (including idiopathic cases), respiratory illnesses (COVID, flu, TB), C. difficile, GI bleeds, pancreatitis, early liver disease, and overflow from specialty areas. - Day nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 and night nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. - Nurse-to-patient ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs.

Shift & Scheduling: - Rotating shifts include Night (3x12 Hours) 19:00-7:30 and Day (3x12 Hours) 7:00-19:30. - Shifts may occur on all days of the week. - Weekend coverage is required per unit needs. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Must float to inpatient acute care units (med/surg) within the hospital. - Travelers may be asked to float to sister facilities per staffing needs in the metro area: Broomfield Hospital, Highlands Ranch Hospital, and Longs Peak Hospital.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
