Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• BSN completion preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Colorado (UCH) and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Colorado (UCH).

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Must be comfortable with and have prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests: Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Surgical unit specializing in solid organ transplant, thoracic surgery, and hepatology patient populations. Cares for lung, liver, kidney, and pancreas recipients, as well as liver and kidney donors. Patient population includes ESRD, ESLD, thoracic cancers, lung diseases, living organ donors, liver and renal cancers, alcohol use disorders, general medical diagnoses, and organ rejection. Admits kidney and liver transplant patients directly from the OR. Thoracic surgery cases include lobectomies, wedge resections, lung surgeries, and esophagectomies. Works closely with multidisciplinary teams from transplant, hepatology, and thoracic surgery. Transplant patients are generally staffed 2:1 or 3:1 during acute phases; other patients are typically staffed 4-5:1 days/nights.
Shift & Scheduling: Rotating day/night 12-hour shifts: 7:00-19:30 and 19:00-07:30. Weekend requirement: yes, per unit needs. No call.
Floating Requirements: Float within scope as required and may float to sister facilities in the Metro region based on facility needs.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
