Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2160 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Ability to care for telemetry patients.
Ability to manage care for patients with multiple comorbidities.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Prior ortho-neuro-trauma experience preferred.

Unit Details:
Unit procedures include wound care and dressing changes, wound vac care, blood administration, PCA and epidural management, and chest tube management.
Unit equipment includes telemetry monitors, IV infusion pumps, bladder scanners, EKG equipment, enteral feeding pumps, BiPAP devices, Vapotherm systems, wound vacs, PCA pumps, trapeze equipment, vein finders, and Doppler devices.

Floating Requirements:
Float to other MST units based on staffing and patient care needs.

10 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver's license required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
