Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2160 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Ability to care for telemetry patients.
Experience managing patients with multiple chronic conditions.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Renal or dialysis patient care experience preferred.

Unit Details:
Renal telemetry medical-surgical unit.
Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
The unit cares for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease.
Dialysis coordination and post-dialysis assessment.
IV therapy and medication administration.
Blood product administration.
Wound care management.
Central line care and maintenance.
Enteral feeding management.
Equipment includes telemetry monitoring, IV infusion pumps, bladder scanners, EKGs, enteral feeding pumps, BiPAPs, and Vapotherms.

Floating Requirements:
May float to other Medical-Surgical units based on staffing and patient care needs.

10 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver's license required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
