Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Ostomy care, drain management, IV skills, and experience with admissions/discharges in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Observation unit experience preferred.

Special Requests: - Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved; additional days require manager approval.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes rule-out chest pain, post-cath lab, CHF, A-fib, rule-out CVAs, TIAs, post-IR, cellulitis, and AKI; rarely surgical patients. - Average patient stay: 36H. - Admit/discharge 2-3 patients daily; most patients are ambulatory. - Drip management includes heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone; no ventilators/trachs. - RN ratios: Day 1:4-5, Night 1:6-8. Tech ratios: Day 1:5, Night 1:9. - Charge nurse carries a lighter assignment; unit secretary, hospitalist, RT, and telemetry tech support available 24/7; phlebotomy assists with peripheral blood draws. - Uses Alaris, Pyxis, and GE monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No on-call. - Cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts. - 1 holiday per season: Christmas Eve/Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.

Floating Requirements: - Floats to MSUs and ED Holding (1:4 ratio); travelers float first.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
