Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2280 per week.

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Credentials: - No license or background hits.

Unit Details: - MS Neuro patients include any Med/Surg Tele patient including strokes, any stable neurological deficit, post neurosurgery procedures, in addition to any other Med Surg overflow. - Common diagnoses/types of patients: joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, failure to thrive. - RNs are required to titrate drips: heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine. - Common titratable and/or set rate drips: PCA pumps. - Tele techs will interpret; RNs should have some tele awareness. - No RT equipment troubleshooting. - Mechanical lifts in every other room. - This unit typically has multiple discharges and admissions in one day. - They serve patients of all cultures on this unit including Spanish, Karen, Burmese.

Shift & Scheduling: - At least every other weekend, but additional weekend shifts may be required based on unit needs and census. - 2-3 holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years.

Floating Requirements: - Float to other medical-surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients waiting for a MedSurg bed.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
