Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2320 per week.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with any experience within the last 4 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Floating Requirements:
You may be required to float to Adventist Health locations within 30 miles.
Clinicians are required to float to any Med/Surg/Tele department to take patients, per union contract.
Clinicians are required to task in all other departments.
Clinicians must be able to float to other departments such as ED, ICU, and OB to task only.

Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 36-48 hours per week.
An every-other-weekend rotation is expected, but may be adjusted based on business need.
Scheduling is a mixture of self-request and business need.
Time off requests are limited to no longer than 2 weeks at a time.

Special Requests:
No RTO requests are allowed over holidays.
No RTO during the assignment is preferred.

Unit Details:
Patient ratios are 4:1 for telemetry and 5:1 for Med/Surg.
Uses the Pyxis medication system.
IV team coverage is available Monday-Friday on day shift only; availability depends on patient care needs and may not be available at all times.
Pharmacy and phlebotomy are available 24/7.
Intensivist coverage is available 7 days a week on day shift, with night coverage by phone/on-call; hospitalist coverage is 24/7.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
