Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2320 per week.

Shift: 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

An interview may not be available prior to offer. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips. Must be competent in at least amiodarone and diltiazem drips.

Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Block scheduling is generally not available. Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s). Holiday time off will be considered but is not guaranteed; unit managers make the final scheduling decision.

Unit Details: Patients include general medical-surgical, general postoperative, and orthopedic populations. The unit does not care for ventilated patients. A hospitalist or intensivist is in house. No IV team is available. Respiratory therapy and pharmacy are available 24/7. The unit is very fast-paced.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend is required. Self-scheduling is used, but schedules are not finalized until the manager balances them; schedules are published 4 weeks out. Travelers can access their schedules from home, make themselves available for extra shifts, and trade with other staff.

Floating Requirements: The clinician is first to float and will float to Tele.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
