Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2320 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Ability to read basic rhythm strips prior to arriving at the facility.
Special Requests: Current Employees: We cannot consider travelers employed (FT, PT, or Per Diem) by Cayuga Health or its affiliate, Schuyler Hospital within the past 12 months.
Unit Details: High-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment caring for acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. Frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale, and telemetry rhythm monitoring and interpretation are part of the work. Stroke care includes dysphagia screening, patient education, and care plans. Uses barcode medication administration (BCMA) standards. The role includes primary and team nursing, admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years
