Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias and telemetry is required.

Special Requests: Must submit time off at time of submission. RTO <5 days or add time to the end of the contract. Holiday blackout dates: 10/31, 11/26, 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, and 1/1 cannot be approved on this unit. Any holiday-week RTO is likely to be denied. Mardi Gras time off will be determined when scheduling and is not guaranteed off.

Unit Details: Patient ratio is 1:6, or 1:4 for cardiac drips. Adult and geriatric patient population. Patient population includes general medical-surgical patients, patients with diabetes and renal insufficiency, some orthopedic patients requiring overnight stays, patients with vascular insufficiency, and wound patients; the unit provides backup for the stroke unit. Uses Alaris pumps and Vital Sync monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Weekend coverage is required. No call. Must work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays.

Floating Requirements: You must be willing to float, work weekends, and generally just be very flexible.

4 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
